Tried it: "Everyday" Cat Eye

I was scanning Pinterest the other day (i know, shocking) and I came across a video entitled, 'how to do an everyday cat eye'. Ok, so I'm not sure why I tried this as I think "everyday cat eye", is an oxymoron. Not sure but  does cat eye and "daytime" need to go together?

Torture Devices Used: Bare Minerals Eye Shadow, LA Colors Liquid Eye Liner in Black (basically the cheapest I could find at Walgreens)
Results: Made for a very uncomfortable outdoor day of eye watering and redness around the corners of my eyes. Not a daytime look! Save it for the Club!

Saturday Morning Goodness

Oh yeah, that's a lovely face mask. Not sure why I decided to share this lovely version of myself!

Yummmmmmmmmm

Shoes: Steve Madden (mom's closet) Leggings: Wal Mart $3, Tunic: Goodwill $4, Necklace: F21 $6

Saturday Morning consisted of: Brett Dennen on Pandora, a really yummy breakfast (actually made by me!) goodwill hunting (nothing spectacular to show for it, but you win some, you lose some, Target (no shoes, no shirts, no shopping ban problem!) and my new favorite item of clothing: this sort of purple colored tunic thingie. It is heaven I tell you, the most comfortable thing you could put on.

I then proceeded to get a little sunshine and volleyball playin in at the park. And Pho 79 with my favorite man...tax season is almost over, can't wait to get my boyfriend back! He has been working upwards of 70 hours per week, and I am feeling very neglected!

Saturday night consisted of splitting a bottle of wine with my new girl Hilary, then 2 for 1 late night happy hour with my girl Shannon. Lots of laughs, and an "oh my God, its 2 am?! When did that happen!?" Good day sir, good day.

Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken

Sandals: Old Navy $5, Jeans: Goodwill (Banana Republic) $4, Shirt: Francesa's $20

Necklace: Made by Moi (and missing a bead) Please notice the horse print detail...its pretty rad!

Yes, I realize Netflix has become a tad overpriced and they never have new releases and blah blah blah blah. However: they have all the movies I watched when I was a child, and I can get them in 2 days!!!

I would basically watch any movie that had a horse in it when I was young. This was one of my favs...and did I want to become a horse diving girl???...absolutely! Watching it as an adult, the acting is horrible and the story line is so-so, but I still got enjoyment out of it. Thank you Netflix. You aren't half-bad.

Maxi Skirt

I have been wanting one of these little guys for quite some time now: the Maxi Skirt. Problem: my legs are abnormally long for my body so THEY ARE NEVER LONG ENOUGH!

Enter: Goodwill hunting. Thank you my favorite Goodwill on Leetsdale avenue. You are the best. Not only is it black and white (goes with everything) but it is almost too long! Yay!

Oh. And did I mention it was 2 dolla?!!!!

Sandals: Steve Madden (mom's closet) Maxi Skirt: Goodwill $2, Shirt: JCrew (outlet) $30, Belt: Goodwill $1, Bangles: Fossil and Mom's Closet.
I

So Josh and I ran the Trail at Red Rocks today. Confession: I find Red Rocks to be one of the coolest places in all of the front range. Truth be told, I sort of ran but mostly walked as it turns out it is a 4 mile run and not the 2.5 like we had originally thought. No wonder I'm sore! I didn't bring my camera up there as I was too busy concentrating on not dying to take photos. But to give you an idea of what we are working with here:

A couple photos of the trail we ran today....

And what red rocks looks like at night when there is a concert happening. Beautiful right?

As for the shopping ban: still going strong a week later.. i told my mom of my plans and she got a good chuckle out of it. And Josh replied, "Not even to the Goodwill?" I said, "Oh, you're right, this will be tough." So the ban still stands, but a shopping trip once a month to the Goodwill will be allowed and I cannot spend more than $20. Ready. Go!
