Day 82: Sparkles? During the day? Yup!

This outfit is modeled after an outfit I saw in this month's issue of JCrew magazine (my roomie gets it delivered to the house just to torture me, I do believe) I've always wanted to wear sequins/sparkles during the day but had no idea how to pull it off.

This is my attempt.

I swear I don't go to the gym daily and pump hardcore iron. What is going on there hamstring? You's huge!
What do you think? Did I fail miserably? Can you even wear Chucks with sequins? Oh well, I just did.

Anyhew, hope you are all havin' a spectacular Memorial Day weekend, looks like the roommates are BBQin it up this evening, and they also just borrowed some butter to make cookies,  oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah (insert Kool-Aid voice here)

Day 81: Friday night with the Red Birds

Hi everyone, sorry I've been slackin' for a few days. Thursday was a crazy (but fun) evening of all you can eat wings, beers, and the Hangover 2. I had no time for blogging.

Last night my favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals, came to play in the mile high city. I just had to go see them. Josh and I scored some pretty awesome seats for $30, which I didn't take pictures of, and yes I know i'm a dufus for not doing that. I never remember to take pictures during the game 'cuz I'm too busy actually watching the game (yes some girls actually do this)

Not sure if you can read the engraving behind me but it reads, "and the chances are good" the chances were good for a Cardinals win!

me bein' lil miss sassafras.
There was this little group of buffalo roaming around in the streets of Denver, they were colorful and happy so I made Josh take a picture. He was thrilled I'm sure. (there is one of me riding one like a Pimp, but it got deleted because my computer is the devil)

letting you see my best side for once.
Have a good memorial day weekend everyone!

Day 80: an evening in wash park

So this is Washington Park, little south of the city of Denver, my favorite place.

I am supposed to be doing this tonight....playing volleyball but I decided to sprain my ankle, so there will be none of this until next week. BIG SAD FACE!

Last night Josh and I were looking at some blogs, commenting on their pictures, and he said, "there is this awesome park across the street from my house ya know, you should take pictures there." and I replied, "I don't suppose you would be willing to do a photo shoot?"...........he said yes :)
Shoes: Charlotte Russe $25, Bag: F21 $20, Dress: Billabong $40, Sweater: Old Navy $12, Heart Necklace: Wal-Mart $4, Pendant Necklace: Fossil, Gift from Momma, Bracelets: Fossil (outlet) $7

I will say this, the Lord did bless me with a nice pair of stems. oh yeah, and "put that on your head"

I was happy, there was a duckie.

He's such a good sport. And already 10 times tanner than I.

I was struggling a bit with the "left arm extended photo taking" here.

a view from our blanket.
 And on the walk home....
my favorite front porch.

And in Josh's backyard, there lives a little piggy. I wanted to say hi.
Hello Mr Pig! You wanna be in my blog?! "Sure do Miss Lindsey"

I don't know what it is about this pig but everytime I walk past him I smile.

This was before I left for the park, trying to decide what shoes to wear, and to belt, or not to belt, sigh, that is the question.

Big thanks to my darling photographer this evening. Really can't believe you put up with me sometimes :)

Day 79: To Tie-DYE-For!

Shoes: Thrifted $15, Jeans: Goodwill $6, Belt: Fossil (had it so long not sure the price), White Shirt: Goodwill $3.50, Tie dyed shirt: Goodwill $3.50, necklace (hair clip attached to old chain)

i got a phone call in this one, i am so popular...they hung up on me.

to make this "necklace" I just put a hair clip on an old chain, and then bam! instant necklace!

you can also stick this little gem in your crazy, all over the place hair!

looks good with a tank too!

I'm feeling Lucky...$3.50

hairclip/broach: Charming Charlie's $1, Ring: ??? Gift from Mom
I have always said that my mother and I should have switched places, I should have been a teenager in the 70's, I love the clothes, I love the music, I love the hair. Oh and I love the Goodwill.

Do you have a pair of jeans when you put them on in your head you're thinking "Dammmmmn gurlllll" and strut around more than you normally would? These jeans are totally doin' that for me. These jeans are AG (Adriano Goldschmied.....is it bad that I don't know who that its?) I looked them up online they are $215 jeans...I paid $6. They fit like a glove. Couldn't pass 'em up.

Now about my shirts!!! The Lucky Brand white awesome 3/4 length shirt, a steal at $3.50. The tie dyed shirt (I was a little apprehensive about this one as it has a zipper...lil weird but I think it still works) I got for $3.50 as well. All in all, my new favorite outfit.

Sorry about the crappy lighting...sure wish this rain would knock it off.

Day 78: Oh yeah, I still tight roll, Outfit 13ish?

beautiful face I'm making here.

Sandals: gifted, Jeans: Thrifted, Tank: Thrifted
This is actually what I wore on Sunday, after a long, glorious day in Wash Park, partly cloudy at first, but Mr Sun decided to join us for most of the afternoon. Just what I needed on my day off. And yes, that's a tight roll on my jeans my friends. Still got it. This outfit is super boring, sorry y'all.

By the Numbers
#6) Sandals, Gift from Momma Terri (now that i think about "gift" is a strong word as I pretty much just ramshackled her closet last summer and said, "I'm taking these" she never objects, she is so awesome.)
#21) Light Jeans, Goodwill $5
#28) Striped Tank, Goodwill $3

Oh and just so you know, the only person that commented on my blog yesterday was my mother, and she voted bangs (and told me that most of them looked like mug shots).....I don't think I can do it! I have had the same, long, straight, hairstyle for close to, oh 45 years or so...time to change it up? Or stick with what works? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Day 77: Makeover Fun

#1) Jennifer Aniston, just duh, every girl wants her hair!

#2) Emma Stone (before she went blonde) People have said I looked like her before, I don't see it

#3) Audrina, they also added makeup to me in this one...purty huh?

#4) Hilary Duff, hey world, this is what I would look like with bangs.

#5) Hilary Swank: not so sure about that rando patch of blonde.

#6) JLo, Um hell to the no.

#7) Oliva Wilde, mmmmm kinda orangish isn't it????

#8) One of the Olsen twins. They put makeup on in this one too, I was a blonde throughout high school, not really sure if I had more fun though.

$9) Not sure who this is, but not feelin' this look on me.

#10) Jessica Biel. Think this is my favorite!

#11) L.C. I likey this one too!

#12) Mila: mixed feelings on this one.
So I was playing around on the internet yesterday and googled: "what would I look like with bangs" and this lovely makeover site came up people instant makeover, it is super easy, and pretty accurate if you ask me. That way you can sort of "try on" different celebrity hairstyles/makeup/lip colors/etc. It is so much fun! All you have to do is upload a photo (if you look as wonderful as I do there is extra points) then you just fit the hairstyle to your face. That simple.
I am thinking about changing my hairstyle (yet again) maybe putting some blonde in for summertime (groundbreaking)...which one do you guys like best? I'm feelin' #10) Miss Jessica Biel, or perhaps #1) Jennifer Aniston? Could I be a blonde again? #3) looks pretty nice too, or should I try bangs like #4)??? decisions decisions!
Anyways, try it for yourself, I guarantee you'll have a good time!
